Former ANTHRAX Singer Jams With THE RHYTHM JUNKIES
June 10, 2003Former ANTHRAX frontman Neil Turbin sang three sets with THE RHYTHM JUNKIES on Sunday Afternoon (June 8) at Starboard Attitude on the Redondo Beach Pier in California. THE RHYTHM JUNKIES, who perform mostly heavy rock and blues, consist of Mitch Perry (MSG, EDGAR WINTER, TALAS),Sean McNabb (QUIET RIOT, BADD BOYZ, GREAT WHITE),Ray Hernandez (THE SCREAMING BUDDAH HEADS) and were formerly fronted by Paul Shortino (ROUGH CUTT, QUIET RIOT) and Charles "Chaz" West (THE JASON BONHAM BAND). Andy Walo substituted for Mitch on guitar, who was out qualifying for a race. John Fuentes, formerly of KURT JAMES BAND, sat in on drums for a few numbers as well.
As previously reported, Turbin will issue his long-awaited solo debut, "Threatcon Delta", at the end of June through the newly-formed Middle Finger Records. Turbin was previously scheduled to release the set via Metal Mayhem Music.
